The Teachers College Reading & Writing Project's Annual Coaching Institute offers educators the chance to study TCRWP’s methods of staff development, focusing especially on the Common Core’s call for us to accelerate reading development. There is specific emphasis on using performance assessments to ratchet up the level of comprehension and rigor in reading workshop as well as to ensure school-wide consistency and growth.
Who: Participants will include literacy coaches, principals, lead teachers, or literacy leaders in other roles from New York City and across the country. Where: This Institute will take place both within schools across New York City and at the Teachers College Campus.
The fee for the Institute in Literacy Coaching and Whole School Reading Reform was $750.00 in 2012-13. This fee included the cost of materials. More information for 2013-14 will be announced soon.
