We are excited to announce the upcoming release of our new series, Units of Study in Opinion, Information, and Narrative Writing: A Common Core Workshop Curriculum. These grade-specific books, which build off of the original Units of Study for Teaching Writing series, have been designed to offer curricular plans that are aligned to the Common Core Standards. The series is being packaged and sold in a variety of ways to allow flexibility for individuals, schools and districts. We are in the process of updating our curricular plans so that these reflect our latest thinking and insights on how to teach the essential skills and strategies of proficient readers; how to progressively build on student learning; and how to fully address the Common Core Standards in workshops. We have therefore removed old reading curricular plans. For now, we continue to offer you unit 5 in reading, provided in an easily accessible electronic PDF format.
