College-preparatory public charter school in Harlem, seeks a visionary and highly
effective Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for overall administration
and management of the school, including creating and driving an academic vision that is in line
with the charter and leads students to extraordinary success, managing and developing senior
staff, overseeing programmatic and financial operations, collaborating with the Board of
Directors, and providing strategic direction and execution for the continued growth and
strong academic outcomes. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. This is
a full-time, exempt position located in New York City.
The school provides a rigorous, standards-based college preparatory curriculum, intensive interventions for students who are performing below grade level, a defined character development program, and extensive leadership development and community service opportunities in an ordered, structured and disciplined learning environment. The school opened in the fall of 2008 and currently serves students in grades 5 through 8.
